You don&#8217;t need to think about dealing with a hard-wired doorbell where you need to involve much more equipment and knowledge when trying to install it. One part is at your front door, and then you need to think about where the chime part is placed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How far apart the two sections can be is something you need to think about. Double-check if there are any restrictions depending on the <strong>manufacturer&#8217;s instructions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You see, what you must remember is that there will be a limit as to the range at which wireless doorbells will work. The transmitter button cannot be too far away from the chime box, or nothing will happen inside when a visitor presses the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exactly how far apart the chime and transmitter can depend on the wireless doorbell system, you are installing. It is to make sure there&#8217;s <strong>no signal interference <\/strong>between both parts, and you will hear that familiar ding-dong when someone comes to your door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Syncing means you sit both the chime box and transmitter close together and then push the sync button on both parts. It is done via a chime control button. You should consider setting this sound at<strong> the initial installation<\/strong> and then see if you can hear the sound when it&#8217;s pressed from different parts of your home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you cannot, then moving the chime unit or buying more will mean your wireless doorbell will at least alert you when someone is there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Understand the Surface Where Your Doorbell Is Located<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Another key part of the doorbell installation is looking at where the mounting bracket will be located with the push button. You need to think about the material or surface the bracket will be on to prevent<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/consumers\/guides\/interference-radio-tv-and-telephone-signals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> signal interference<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must remember that signals need to be sent from one part to the other as there are no wires. It is the same method that motion sensors use when you install them in your home. Do not put it straight onto the metal, or your wireless doorbell probably won&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Installing Your Wireless Doorbell on Masonry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is another quick tip if you are installing your wireless doorbell on masonry. Also, this applies to smart doorbells as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the doorbell is going on masonry or brick, placing the push button on some plastic attached to the brick via some mounting screws will make life easier. You will then install the doorbell onto the plastic. However, if you feel unsure whether or not this will be strong enough, then two screws, along with the appropriately sized plug, will also be supplied. It&#8217;s fairly <strong>easy to install the doorbell<\/strong> via these screws then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All you need to do here is mark where the screws need to go and then drill a hole. Place the plug into the hole, and screw the back panel onto the wall. That should mean your wireless doorbell won&#8217;t simply fall off the wall at any point. However, this approach is best used when placing the doorbell on brick rather than the frame of your door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 8: Placing the Receiver Inside<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that you need to be <strong>aware of the distance from <\/strong>where the receiver can go. So, if you find your back door is too far away, you may need to have more than one option. It is especially true with a large house, or your doorbell will remain mute as it&#8217;s effectively out of range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chime unit inside your home can sit anywhere. Some people attach it to a wall, while others place it on top of a cupboard.
